WATER:
Our aim is to bring clean water to all areas of the district. Where possible we will bring pipelines which will have a "water kiosk" every 2.5km, and where the pipeline is not a possibility but water is available underground we intend to put a well. All water projects are owned by the community and once implemented the community are totally responsible for the care and upkeep of wells and water kiosks.

Sand Dam:
The Sand Dam concept is thousands of years old and a simple low cost way to bring water to millions of people.
Water is the catalyst for everything.
Water helps to grow crops which can be sold for money that can be used for education.
Water is the first step to poverty relief.
Sand Dams are reinforced concrete walls built across seasonally dry rivers. Walls trap the sand that the rains wash down river. The sand backs up against the wall and millions of litres of water are trapped in the sand. The sand prevents the water from evaporating and filters the water so that it can be drank straight out of the sand by digging a shallow hole
